Christ for Us
Christ Jesus, the Son of God, was betrayed, beaten, and put to death on a cross.
Jesus suffered these things because, out of love, He chose for His life to be like ours, so that our lives might become like His: good lives in the joy of the eternal life of God.
Christ With Us
Jesus, facing His own suffering and death said this, “I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Jesus Christ has risen from the dead, destroying death by His death. Just as we have been baptized into His death, so we are also raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
Christ In Us
Jesus said, “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.”
Receiving Christ’s Body and Blood in the Lord’s Supper, we are made to be His body, the church. We are… Christ’s love in action.
